Co-founded in 1989 by Gary Burrell and Min H. Kao, Garmin was incorporated in Switzerland with its headquarters in the United States. Garmin first set foot in the aviation industry about three decades ago with GPS navigation products. Since then, its product lines have expanded to cover the aviation, automotive, and marine industries. In 2013, Garmin provided an in-car navigation system for Mercedes-Benz which used touch input and voice assistance and displayed 3D terrains in real time.
